Forged by the Dwarves in the Second Age, it was wielded by Elendil, King of Gondor and the kingdom of Arnor. It was with this sword that Sauron was defeated during the Last Alliance. Broken in this battle, it was later reforged as Andúril to be wielded by Aragorn.
