Designed specifically for slaying demons, this blade changes color depending on its wielder. When it is given to Tanjiro, it takes on a black hue, a rare and mysterious color that often intrigues demon slayers.

 This katana was crafted by Hotaru Haganezuka, a passionate and meticulous swordsmith. While its color is intriguing, black is often associated with fighters who master multiple styles or who are evolving toward a single identity. In Tanjiro's case, it reflects his Water Breathing and, later, his exploration of the Sun Breathing.

 In combat, Tanjiro's katana stands out for its versatility, allowing him to execute fluid and powerful techniques while adapting to different opponents. It embodies not only his physical strength, but also his unwavering determination and his desire to protect his loved ones.
